A Talier for Call of Duty Black Ops 4

What Song Plays In The Call Of Duty: Black Op 4 Trailer?

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 is notable for being the first entry in the series without a campaign mode, and here's the song featured in its trailer.

What song is featured in the trailer for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 ? The original Call Of Dutyarrived in 2003 and would kick off one of the biggest first-person shooter franchises in gaming. The original title was set during World War II, which was a popular setting for shooters at the time, which includes rival franchises likeMedal Of Honor and Return To Castle Wolfenstein. While the original games were major hits, it was the success of Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - which pushed the series into the present - that made it an unstoppable juggernaut.

Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare's fantastic campaign and multiplayer modes set the tone for future entries. The series went on to provide players with a blockbuster experience every year, with the setpieces getting bigger and more outrageous, with 2016's Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare taking players to space. Name actors like Ed Harris, Michael Keaton (The Other Guys), Sarah Michelle Gellar and Kit Harrington have also loaned their voices to the franchise.

The Call Of Duty: Black Ops saga kicked off with the first entry in 2010, which was set in the 1960s and featured one of the series darkest stories, with levels taking place in Vietnam and Cuba. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 was notable for dropping the campaign mode entirely, although it did feature a Solo Missions mode. The song featured in the trailer for the game is "Welcome To The Party" by Diplo, French Montana, Lil Pump and featuring Zhavia Ward.

"Welcome To The Party" was also featured on the soundtrack for Deadpool 2, and was presumably chosen for the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 trailer to emphasize the multiplayer focus. The game came with the traditional Zombies mode too, but the most notable new addition was Blackout. This Fortnite / PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds aping battle royale mode saw up to 100 players dropped into a sprawling map to do battle until only one player remained.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 was ultimately a decent but unremarkable entry in the long-running franchise, which was reflected in fan response to the title. Reports for the next instalment in the series suggest it will go back to its roots, and will be titled Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which like the original Black Ops, will take place in the 1960s. Considering 2019's Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare took that section of the series back to its roots, it makes sense for the next Black Ops to do the same.

It's pronounced Paw-rick, not Pad-raig. Now that's out of the way, a brief introduction. Padraig has been writing about film online since 2012, when a friend asked if he'd like to contribute the occasional review or feature to their site. A part-time hobby soon blossomed into a career when he discovered he really loved writing about movies, TV and video games – he even (arguably) had a little bit of talent for it. He has written words for Den of Geek, Collider, The Irish Times and Screen Rant over the years, and can discuss anything from the MCU - where Hawkeye is clearly the best character - to the most obscure cult b-movie gem, and his hot takes often require heat resistant gloves to handle. He's super modern too, so his favorite movies include Jaws, Die Hard, The Thing, Ghostbusters and Batman. He can be found as i_Padds on Twitter making bad puns.
